New York is full of everything you could ever be looking for on your next vacation. So full in fact that your only problem in the Big Apple will be deciding what to do, and trying to make time to see it all. There are 11 different regions, and each have something different to offer. Here are a few descriptions of a hand full of the regions, and what you can find there.
The Adirondack region has a ton of ponds, lakes, and hiking trails. Adventure along the Ausable Chasm, or fish in the nearby adjoining river, the Ausable River. There is remote wilderness you can explore with a tour guide, and everything from swimming to rafting to water sports.
Catskills region is another area with plenty of wilderness to explore. It has plenty of waterfalls, forests, streams and mountains. Nearby is Bethel, the home of 1969′s Woodstock Music and Art Festival, and currently hosts a variety of musical events each summer. Don’t miss the world’s largest kaleidoscope, either, or the Zoom Flume Water Park, and visit a variety of European style wineries.
